Saracens Rugby on Film

I have been working recently for Saracens Women's rugby club. I've been fortunate enough to be able to shoot some of their games on film as well as digital. For this i'm using a Nikon FM2n, and a 300mm f/2.8 lens in order to be able to reach any shots. I have been using Portra 800 for these as I need high speed film, with the 4000th shutter speed on the FM2n giving the flexibility to use this high speed film on sunnier days.

I shot the films at 800 ISO where possible, but on a very sunny trip to Exeter exposing the film at 400 ISO was necessary. Fortunately the film was more than happy to accommodate this due to it's wide exposure latitude and the photos have come out looking stunning.
